CFA Downtown Studio

University of New Mexico College of Fine Arts located in Downtown Albuquerque regularly works with emerging local artists, collectives, curators, art historians and musicians. Run by a CFA graduate student, CFA Downtown Studio provides opportunities to students to showcase their current art to the public.

Founded in 2006, 516 Arts strives to have thought provoking art that focuses on timely themes of immigration and the environment. With a focus on Latin America, 516 Arts also provides educational opportunities by offering exhibition tours for schools and community groups with curriculum support materials for teachers, youth activities, and hands-on workshops with guest artists.

Harwood Art Center

Originally home to an all girls school, Harwood Art Center offers open artist studios and galleries for the public to view. Harwood has built its own community of artists and connected to the neighborhood. They offer a variety of programs including arts education and engagement along with teaching and professional development opportunities for artists.

Art! Attack

Art Attack is a paint your own pottery and mosaic tile studio. No skill level or experience is required. The studio is a place where artists of all ages can discover their own creativity, the joy of painting, and create something unique.

The space offers an inventory of more than 600 pieces of ceramic bisque that visitors can choose as a canvas to paint. All materials needed to bring any idea to life are available and easy to use. The studio also offers guided classes.


Off Center Community Arts Project

OFFCenter is a non-profit that believes art-making is central to community building. The space hosts free-of-charge open studio hours four days a week, which provide a safe place for everyone to make art. Get your hands on a wide range of supplies, resources, and equipment for everything from art, jewelry, sewing and metal-smithing.

OffCenter also offers weekly skill-building workshops in art, crafts, music and writing!


Warehouse 508

Warehouse 508 is Albuquerque’s downtown youth art and entertainment center which encourages youth immersion in the creative arts. Warehouse 508 is a venue for creativity, a lab, an incubator of possibilities, and a safe, structured environment where young people have the opportunity to explore the world through the arts.

Programs and workshops are intended for young people ages 11-20 and include DJing, screenprinting, mural arts, music theory, photography, poetry, dance and more.
