WHAT’S ON TAP THIS MONTH?
The Nevada Test Site was one of the most significant nuclear weapon test sites in the United States. Museum docent Gary L. Hoe, a retired engineer, will discuss testing, what was learned in the process, and what has happened to continual testing since the end of the Cold War. Using the Nuclear Bomb Effects slide rule, Gary will answer questions as to what kind of effects can be expected from a detonation today.
Join us on Friday, June 16th at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. Doors open for our summer editions of Science on Tap open at 6:00 pm with the event starting at 6:30 pm and ending at 7:30pm.
Admission is $5 per person, and you must be 21 years to attend. Admission will provide each guest with one beer ticket. Guests can purchase additional drinks. IDs are required. Please drink responsibly. Event tickets can be purchased in advance below, or they can be purchased the night of the event at the door. Please email us with any questions.
